Bosch India Plant Discontinued to Clear Inventory

According to foreign media reports, the Bosch Group recently said that it will stop production at the Jaipur plant in northern India to avoid a backlog of inventory.

The Bosch Group stated in a statement submitted to the Bombay Stock Exchange that the Jaipur plant will stop production from July 25 to August 24, 2012, and adjust the production line. The Bosch Group produces engine components at the Jaipur plant, which was suspended between June 28 and June 30.

The high loan and fuel prices in India, as well as the slow economic growth, led to the lack of demand for new cars in the Indian market. Some Indian automakers and parts manufacturers are currently cleaning up their factory inventory.
