Lake Zurich, Wauconda, Long Grove, Lincolnshire-Riverwoods, Barrington, and Palatine Rural Fire Protection Districts responded to a reported structure fire at 21231 Brandon Road in Kildeer just after 10 p.m. on Monday. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a car on fire in the driveway that had spread to the attached garage of a two-story home. The incident was upgraded to a MABAS Box Alarm, prompting additional units from Barrington Countryside, Buffalo Grove, Cary, Countryside FPD, Nunda Rural, Palatine, Rolling Meadows, and Wheeling.
Firefighters quickly contained the blaze, which remained largely confined to the garage. No portable tank or tanker shuttle was required during the operation. Long Grove Tanker 55 provided water support to Lake Zurich Engines 324 and 325 as they worked near the house.
Photos from the scene show firefighters working diligently, with engines and equipment deployed to manage the situation. Several images capture the fire extending from the car into the garage, highlighting the rapid response needed to prevent further damage.

No injuries have been reported at this time, and the fire has been fully extinguished. MABAS Box 32-2 was called in by command. We are slowly releasing units from the scene. The Red Cross has been notified."
The quick response and coordination among multiple fire departments helped keep the fire under control, preventing it from spreading further into the home. Residents were advised to remain cautious and stay informed through local updates.
