Hexagon Socket Countersunk Head Screws, also known as machine screws, hex bolts, cup head screws, or socket head cap screws, are commonly referred to as SHCS (Socket Head Cap Screws). These screws come in different strength grades such as 4.8, 8.8, 10.9, and 12.9. They feature a hexagonal socket on the head, which allows for tightening using a hex wrench. The threaded end is machined flat to fit into drilled holes. Flat head socket cap screws are similar in design to button head screws.
