House fire in Riverside, 8-17-16

This is a report from Code Photography:

The Riverside Fire Department was dispatched to the 100 block of Herrick Road for a possible house fire. As units were en route, the dispatch center reported that people might be trapped inside. When Engine 1604 arrived on scene, there was no visible fire coming from the two-and-a-half-story wood-frame house. However, as the crew began their initial assessment, a resident informed them that someone was on the second floor, where the fire appeared to be located as well.

First-in companies quickly pulled a hose line and conducted a search of the second floor. Fortunately, the fire was confined to the C/D corner of the second level, which allowed firefighters to control the situation without significant structural damage. The quick response and effective communication helped ensure the safety of everyone involved.
