Nationwide Boiler Inc., a leading provider of boiler rentals and equipment sales, recently wrapped up their annual holiday food drive, which was held virtually for the second consecutive year due to ongoing pandemic restrictions. This year, the company matched employee donations, contributing over $4,300 to two local food banks: the Alameda County Community Food Bank (ACCFB), located near their Fremont headquarters, and the Clark County Food Bank, supporting the community around their Controls Division in Washougal, Washington.
In addition to the employee donation match, Nationwide Boiler also made a separate $1,000 contribution to a local produce initiative led by Meika Pope from the Washougal office. The funds were used to support Shady Grove Farms in growing a variety of fresh, organic vegetables such as cabbage, winter squash, potatoes, beets, onions, and leafy greens. The produce was delivered in three batches by Meika and other employees to the Camas Family-Community Resource Center, where it was distributed to hundreds of families in need.

The Alameda County Community Food Bank works tirelessly to eliminate hunger in the region, providing millions of meals annually. Meanwhile, the Clark County Food Bank distributes over 8 million pounds of food and 6.7 million meals each year.
