On Sunday around 12:30 p.m., the Warrenville Fire Department was called to a reported chimney fire at 29W601 Ridge. As more calls came in, the situation escalated to a general alarm. Chief 11 arrived and confirmed that the fire was visible through the roof. I arrived just before Warrenville TL 11. The first engine had already begun an interior attack on the fire. It looked like the chimney, part of the roof, and the attic were all involved. Interior crews managed to hit most of the fire from the second floor, and by the time the crew finished their work, the fire was fully under control within 15 minutes.
