State Grid smart meter installed in Beijing social residents

On October 14, the State Grid smart meter was officially installed in the North District of Shiyuan Community, Shunyi District, Beijing. This is the first time that the Beijing State Grid Smart Meter has been installed on social resident users.

It is understood that this renovation project includes 9 residential buildings in the northern district of the Shiyuan Community in Shunyi District. A total of 1036 smart meters are required to be installed on the State Grid. The pilot installation of smart meters in the Shunyi area was based on the successful operation of a part of the micro-power metering method in the previous stage of Shunyi Power Supply Company.

The smart meter of the State Grid simplifies the operation of the meter after the residents purchase electricity, and prepares for the implementation of the ladder price in the future, which is conducive to the fine management of the power supply companies and provides better services to customers. Relevant person in charge of the Beijing company Shunyi Power Supply Company stated that it will do its utmost to complete the all-round and system-wide testing of the small-scale test run of the State Grid smart meter, and accumulate valuable experience for the upcoming large-scale application of the State Grid smart meter.
