The world's largest parts and components company “comes to the Central Plains”

The reporter Deng Jie reports: Delphi Corporation, one of the world’s largest auto parts companies, announced that it will relocate its Asia Pacific headquarters to China this year and threatened to localize as much as possible before 2008.

Asia Pacific headquarters moved to China this year

Although Delphi’s US headquarters has entered bankruptcy protection procedures, its business in China has not been affected and it has maintained a good momentum of development.

Delphi will migrate its Asia Pacific headquarters to China this year and build the Asia Pacific region with headquarters with relatively independent R&D capabilities and product development capabilities. Del Chung Global Vice President, Asia Pacific and China President Quan Chuanze said that this will be less dependent on the United States headquarters, and the cost reduction will also enhance the company's competitiveness.

Realize "localization" before 2008

Facing China's increasingly powerful auto export industry, Delphi’s response is to strengthen localization. Quan Chunze’s explanation is: “Localization includes two parts: one is the localization of suppliers, and the other is that more products are produced in China.”

Quan Chunze emphasized that we plan to localize as much as possible before 2008.
