This is from Steve Redick:
I arrived at the scene on Thursday. There was heavy fire coming from a frame, one-story addition attached to the back of the house. Exposure B was in danger for a few minutes before I got there. I think a lot of hidden areas had to be opened up, likely due to the construction of the addition. Regardless, the fire was quickly under control. It's worth noting that the tower ladder, which was the first unit on scene, was used as an engine company and supplied all the attack lines.

It was a challenging call, but the crew worked well together. The tower ladder played a crucial role, not just for access, but also as a water source. The structure was old, so we had to be careful about potential collapse. The addition made things more complicated, as it created hidden pockets where the fire could spread unnoticed. We did a thorough search and were able to contain the blaze without any major structural damage. A few firefighters were treated on scene for minor issues, but everyone came out safe. It's always a relief when things go smoothly, especially with such a tight timeline. Looking at the photos, it’s clear how intense the fire was. These images really capture the situation. Thanks to Steve for sharing them with us.
