This impressive piece of machinery, developed and manufactured by Changzhou Reducer General Factory Co., Ltd., stands as the heaviest and most technologically advanced reducer in the province, and it marks a first for a private enterprise in the country.
"This is a historic achievement," said an official from the Wujin Economic and Trade Commission. The reducer industry has seen rapid growth, leading to fierce domestic competition. Meanwhile, with the acceleration of economic globalization, international giants from Germany, France, and Japan have entered the Chinese market, capturing a large portion of the mid-to-high-end segment. This breakthrough by Changzhou Reducer General Factory signals that the city's industrial competitiveness is now firmly established.
The success of this private enterprise can be attributed to its strategic approach. First, it focuses on effective investment. Over the past two years, the company has invested over 100 million yuan in technical upgrades and introduced more than 50 million yuan worth of advanced German-made processing equipment. This has helped maintain its leading position in the industry. Second, the company emphasizes independent innovation. In recent years, it has successfully developed large-scale products such as cement grinding roller reducers, electric vertical mill reducers, metallurgical flap reducers, and water pump reducers. All these products meet international standards, yet they are priced at just half the cost of similar foreign alternatives.
Through continuous investment and hard work, Changzhou Reducer General Factory has managed to differentiate itself and escape the trap of homogenous competition. Its products are now indispensable in key sectors such as coal, steel, cement, and wind power. The company has even contributed to major national projects, including supporting the "Shenzhou VI" spacecraft. Last year, its operating revenue reached 11 times that of 2001, and taxes paid were 15 times higher than in the same period.
The launch of this 100-ton reducer for a private company has made Changzhou Reducer General Factory a target for multinational corporations. Since the start of this month, numerous manufacturers from the U.S., Japan, and Germany have proactively sought partnerships. Company leaders estimate that high-end equipment exports will at least double this year, marking a new chapter in the company’s global expansion.
