Chinese car silence, breakthrough or rise

The new edition of the US "Newsweek" opened its article and opened it up as a summary article on "The Rise of China" as the world's most significant event in one year. It seems to be a coincidence that I intend to write this article on the last one in 2007 of China Auto. At the time of this article's manuscript, its keynote has been inaccurate, reminiscent, retrospective, hopeful, or a narrative that lays down the rules for the entire year. When I tried to sort through some of the important events I experienced this year, I discovered that the words "China's automobile rise" jumped out.

Regarding the rise of Chinese cars, whether they are expressed in past or present, most of my colleagues do not agree with them. While they are in the company, they are more willing to use compassionate feelings to comprehend the complex emotions of Chinese cars.

I remember seeing the Detroit auto show last year. There were even more reporters in front of Geely's Freedom Ship than there were reporters around Toyota Camry. Subsequent reports, whether contempt, ridicule, or praise, are inevitably overemphasized. It is a common problem in the media, both at home and abroad. The reaction was even more intense because of the appearance of Chinese cars in Frankfurt this year. After the fierce reaction of the Germans exceeded our imagination, I did not intend to prove China from the wrong side through a small country such as Vietnam and Malaysia but imitating but not having a fierce counterattack. Cars are more concerned about overseas situations, but in any case, regarding Chinese cars, they are increasingly challenging the giants of the world's autos. In addition to “recovering the local community”, they also “invade” every corner of the world market. The road that the industry and the IT industry have already taken is being “repeated” by Chinese cars.

Just a few days after the end of the year, there was a major turnaround in South Korea cooperation that had plagued the company for nearly a year. In the end, a package of cooperation plans will be reached. Before this country’s largest auto restructuring case was even dubbed by the media for its twists and complexity. It is a difficult strategy for the Chinese government to increase the reorganization of the car industry and increase the capabilities of China’s domestic auto warfare and competitiveness. In the future, Chinese auto companies will be more concentrated in the areas of FAW, Dongfeng, SAIC, and Chang’an. In the enterprise group, "it is better to focus on confronting each other than to be broken apart." This wave of restructuring within the Chinese auto industry is seen by the multinational auto giants as a strong indicator of the strength of China's auto industry after many years of gathering its strength.

In fact, even more puzzling is that multinational giants have also had to accept the requirement of “knowing their own brand in joint ventures” and the status quo of having to set up more auto R&D centers in China. Before, many auto companies still had Only intends to assemble things in China. Such a situation is considered to be the result of multiple effects. For example, a large number of multinational autos have to resort to more advanced technology and management and more capital investment in the face of fierce competition in the Chinese market; on the other hand, they have become increasingly mature. Chinese local companies rely on the introduction of overseas technology and R&D competitiveness, while the government gradually tightens the policy restrictions that transnational corporations seem to be able to arbitrarily ride. For those multinational corporations, although they are not adaptable, they are huge. The market and spending power and high returns have made it difficult for them to give up.

Some people are already predicting the trend of Chinese cars in 2010. Some people say that the sales volume will reach 10 million, and others will say more. These are meaningful but not the most meaningful components. The most significant is how much contribution can be made from China, and how likely it is for China to succeed. Not just profit, but also technology, R&D, management, and brands. These are the full rise of Chinese cars. .
