Determination of soil nutrient in dried pepper plant by soil nutrient rapid tester

The comprehensive indicator of soil productivity, soil fertility, is fundamentally explained by the ability of the soil to supply plant growth and to coordinate nutrient and environmental conditions. The basis of soil fertility is the status of soil nutrients. Only by grasping the conditions of soil fertility can we maintain a virtuous circle of soil environment in order to achieve sustainable development of agriculture. The phenomenon of blind fertilization without understanding the soil fertility in the production of dried peppers is quite common, resulting in reduced fertilization benefits, unbalanced soil nutrients, declining soil quality, increased pests and diseases of peppers, and decreased yield and quality. Therefore, the status of soil nutrients in dry pepper planting in Daishan County, Yunnan Province was investigated. Based on the current problems in fertilization and combined with the required fertilizer characteristics of dried chilli, a combination of arable land use and fertilization and full use of production potential were proposed. The sustainable development of the industry has important practical significance. Survey instruments for soil nutrient status can be measured using the Soil Nutrient Rapid Tester.

The sampling depth is 0-25cm, and each plot is collected according to the "S" shape. Generally, 10 small sample points are used to make a mixed sample. In order to reflect the actual nutrient status of sampling plots and the ability of supplying fertilizers, the sampling time was concentrated on the peppers before the end of April 2009 to the beginning of May. The peppers were harvested before the application of base fertilizer and transplanting. The soil samples were collected after being air-dried in the room and sieved through 1 mm. The soil nutrient rapid tester was used to test and analyze the soil organic matter, pH, and effective N, P, and K indicators. All laboratory tests were performed using routine laboratory analysis methods: soil organic matter, weight Potassium chromate volumetric method-external heating method; Soil alkaline hydrolysis nitrogen, alkaline solution diffusion method; Soil available phosphorus, 0.5mol/L NaHCO3 extraction-molybdenum blue colorimetric method; Soil available potassium, 1mol/LNH4OAC leaching-flame photometer Method; soil pH, potentiometry (water to soil ratio 2.5:1).

The soil nutrient rapid tester was used to analyze the soil nutrients of the dried pepper planted in Dangshan County. It can be found that fertilization in planting still has great blindness and inaccuracy. According to the survey results and formula fertilization calculation, it is suggested that the fertilizer should be used in fertilization. “N reduction, phosphorus reduction, and potassium increase”, fertilizer companies should promptly adjust the ratio of compound fertilizers to suit local needs, and it is best to produce special compound fertilizers suitable for the growth of local peppers, so that the formula and fertilizer application ratios can be matched and the quality can be reduced. The use of fertilizers reduces nutrient imbalance and waste caused by improper fertilization. According to the principle that the proportion of organic nitrogen and inorganic nitrogen in uncontaminated vegetables is not less than 1:1, it is recommended that the amount of organic fertilizer used in dried peppers should not be lower than 3000kg/667m2.
