Still & Box Alarm in Chicago, 5-15-16

This report comes from Drew Gresik:

The Chicago Fire Department's Englewood Fire Alarm Office received multiple calls for a fire at 57th and Peoria around 11:30 PM on May 15, 2016. The Englewood FAO immediately dispatched a working fire response. Engine 50 was the first to arrive and reported a two-story, ordinary construction, vacant building measuring 25x50 feet with heavy fire on the second floor and in the rear. Squad 5 then contacted Battalion 6, who was still en route, and advised that the fire had now extended into the Side D exposure, which was another similarly constructed building. In response, Battalion 6 requested a Still & Box as crews pulled back to a defensive position. Four lines were deployed for an exterior attack. Truck 51 was moved from Side A to use Tower 39 for front-line aerial coverage. Companies on scene included: E50, E84, E116, E54, T51, T18, TL39, BN6, Sq5, 2-7-4, RIT, BN19, T20, BN5, BN15, 2-2-1, A1, A49, 4-5-5, and 4-5-8.
