This is from Larry Shapiro:
A neighbor reported smoke coming from a home at 1801 Oak Avenue in Northbrook on October 4th, 2016, just before 2 PM. The Northbrook Fire Department was quickly dispatched, and when the first unit arrived, smoke was already visible. The incident was upgraded to a Code 4 due to the intensity of the fire. Firefighters managed to contain what appeared to be a basement fire that had burned through part of the floor above.
Multiple departments responded to the scene, including Northfield Truck 29, Glenview Truck 14, Wheeling Engine 23, and Lincolnshire-Riverwoods Ambulance 52. Northbrook units on the scene included Engines 10 and 11, Truck 12, Ambulances 10 and 11, Battalion 11, and all three chief officers. It was a coordinated effort with several crews working together to bring the fire under control.
