As the material enters the drum through the feeding pipe, it is accelerated and then subjected to centrifugal force, causing heavier solids to settle against the inner wall of the drum. The spiral conveyor continuously pushes these solids toward the conical end of the drum, where they are dewatered and discharged through internal liquid channels or via the overflow port at the large end of the drum. The entire process—feeding, sedimentation, separation, dewatering, and discharge—can be completed continuously at full speed without interruption.
