Still & Box Alarm in Chicago, 2-11-17 (part 1)

Here's a message from Eric Haak:

Below are some photos from a Still & Box Alarm that took place in Chicago on Saturday morning, February 11th. The 15th Battalion was the first to arrive and reported light smoke coming from a 600 x 200, four-story fire-resistive warehouse. Just seven minutes later, they reported heavy smoke inside and requested the box. It turned out to be an auto fire. The Mobile Ventilation Unit (MVU) was called in to help clear the smoke.

The images show the initial arrival of the 15th Battalion, the progression of the incident, and the involvement of specialized units like the MVU. You can see firefighters working hard to manage the situation, including a probationary firefighter who appears to be actively involved. These photos give a real sense of what happens during a live emergency response.
