However, the scale of the heavy truck industry is relatively low. According to the statistics from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in 2009, there were 28 domestic heavy-duty truck manufacturers with more than 14 tons, and the sales concentration of the top 10 companies was 83.09%; among the top 10 sales companies, annual production exceeded 10,000 units. There are only 9 companies.
With its regional advantages, Universiade Motor has formulated a large investment plan. At present, the Universiade heavy truck project has completed investment of more than 2 billion yuan. After the first phase of the project is put into production, it will form an annual production capacity of 50,000 heavy trucks, an annual production value of 15 billion yuan, and an annual profit and tax of more than 1 billion yuan. The second phase of the project will be expanded to an annual output of more than 100,000 units, with an annual output value of more than 30 billion yuan.
At the Beijing International Auto Show this year, the Universiade exhibited heavy-duty trucks including dump trucks, tractors and trucks. It is one of the most heavy-duty truck companies in the show.
