Recently, the “Bore Song†exhaust gas treatment unit project of AVIC Ships came into effect. This not only marks the entry into force of the EPC order for the first exhaust gas treatment device of AVIC, but also indicates that AVIC ships are gradually entering the international business field of exhaust gas treatment devices.
The project was signed by the Delta-AVIC of Singapore Airlines, a subsidiary of AVIC Ships. It was jointly developed and implemented by AVIC International Ship Holdings (Singapore) and Detamarin (Finland). It is the Bore of the Finnish ship owner Bore. The Song†Ro-Ro ship provides an EPC turnkey service for the installation of an exhaust gas treatment unit. As the first cooperation with Bore, the project will become a new opportunity for the establishment of extensive cooperation between AVIC ships and Finnish shipowners.
The implementation of the “Version Sulfur Limit Order of 0.1†(sulfur oxide emissions less than 0.1%) will be opened on January 1, 2015 to operate short-haul, high-power ships in the Emission Control Area (ECA). Gradually focus on the exhaust gas treatment unit.
At present, AVIC ships have obtained two EPC contracting contracts for exhaust gas treatment equipment, and five sets of exhaust gas treatment devices will be installed for five operating vessels.
It is reported that another five sets of EPC orders for exhaust gas treatment equipment are also in the process of negotiation, and it is expected to sign at the end of the year.
