The first biomass power generation project designed by China Metallurgical North Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. – the Guodian Tangyuan 2X15MW Biomass Cogeneration Project – has reached a major milestone. The No. 1 boiler was recently successfully ignited and has been connected to the grid for power generation, marking a significant achievement in the project's development. Meanwhile, the No. 2 boiler is currently undergoing commissioning and is expected to be fully operational by New Year’s Day in 2008.
